Idaho Power’s Local Energy Efficiency Fund
Funds under this program are for projects that do not fall within any of the other Idaho Power efficiency and demand management programs.
Incentive Availability
Incentive qualifications and amounts are subject to change or termination at any time. Incentives will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Both funding and the conditions of the program are subject to the jurisdiction of the Idaho Public Utilities Commission (IPUC) and shall be subject to such changes or modifications as the IPUC may, from time to time, direct in the exercise of its jurisdiction. Incentives are available for up to half of a project’s cost. Total incentives, grants and other funding from all sources may not exceed 100% of project costs.
Incentive Selection
Idaho Power retains full discretion of whether and how much to award for any incentive payment. Generally, Idaho Power will fund up to half of a project’s cost. In making the selection, Idaho Power considers factors including, but not limited to:
- Electrical energy savings
- Demand reduction
- Uniqueness
- Cost
- Educational value
- Relevancy and benefit to other projects
How To Receive Your Incentive Payment
After application has been accepted by Idaho Power and project is complete, send copies of paid invoices to:

Incentive payments will be paid to Applicant only (not to third party contractor, etc).
Qualified Customers
The incentive payments listed are only applicable to customers with an active Idaho Power account. The project must be installed/completed within Idaho Power’s service area in the state of Idaho. Idaho Power employees are not eligible for incentives.
Application Details
Applications must include all information requested. Incomplete or missing information may result in the delay or denial of the incentive payment. Idaho Power reserves the right to conduct random on-site inspections to verify information provided on the application. False information may lead to cancellation of this and future incentive applications and/or the requirement to return any incentive.

Idaho Power neither expressly nor implicitly warrants nor assumes any legal liability or responsibility for the performance, quality, safety, installation or estimated energy and/or cost savings of any project associated with this program. Applicant agrees to indemnify Idaho Power Company, its parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns of each against all loss, damage, expense, and liability arising from any project associated with this program. IDAHO POWER OFFERS NO WARRANTY RELATED TO THIS PROGRAM.
Safety and Building Codes
The applicant represents that the project complies with all applicable laws, including without limitation, federal, state, and local safety, building and environmental rules, ordinances, codes, regulations and accepted industry standards.
Information Release
The applicant understands and agrees that Idaho Power and/or its representatives may include a description of this project and other project details in its annual DSM Report, case studies, brochures, press releases, advertisements and other marketing materials presented to the public.
In addition, the applicant understands and agrees that Idaho Power reserves the right to monitor and evaluate their project to measure energy savings.
